Woman with wet hair watching the sunset at the beach, peaceful and reflective mood.

I grew up in a small town called Península de Paraguaná, a place hugged by water on three sides. The ocean wasn’t a weekend escape. It was the backdrop to everything.Weekends, Carnavales, every single holiday. Friends gatherings, escapes with my boyfriend, family days to get chipi chipis (tiny clams we’d dig out of the shore—if you’re Venezuelan, you know). Every chapter of my life has a tide attached to it.

Some of my favorite memories were made with sand in my car and salt in the air.

No plans for the day? Go to the beach.

Need to clear your head? Go to the beach.

Celebrating something big? Go to the beach.

Somewhere in my teenage years, I started a quiet tradition that stayed with me. Every December 31st, I’d find a lookout point near the sea to watch the last sunset of the year. Not always alone, usually with friends, music, and a heart full of hope.

I still do it now. Mostly just me. Still facing the horizon, still making space for what’s next.

For the brides who feel it too.

If you’re the kind of bride who feels most like herself with her feet in the sand and her heart facing the waves, I see you.

The ocean isn’t just a location.

It’s a mood.

A pace.

A way of being.

And honestly? Helping you plan a beachside bachelorette or coastal wedding is my dream. Because I don’t just understand the logistics, I understand the feeling.

You don’t need to theme your day around seashells or turquoise napkins. You can bring the ocean into your celebration in ways that feel soft, personal, and sacred. Here are a few ideas for soulful, sea-loving rituals:

Ocean-inspired notes and rituals:

1. A sunrise moment.

Start your wedding morning with a quiet moment by the water. Maybe it’s a barefoot walk, a stretch, or a bit of yoga. Whether you're alone or with your maid of honor, take a few deep breaths and let the sound of the waves set the tone for your day.

2. A sand keepsake.

Bring a small glass jar and collect sand from the beach the day before your wedding. Keep it in your memory box, or place it somewhere meaningful in your home. A little piece of where it all began.

3. Sea-scented calm.

Choose a scent that reminds you of the ocean—sea salt, coconut, bergamot. Light a candle in the bridal suite or wear it as your fragrance. Let the scent anchor you throughout the day.

4. Bridesmaid gifts with coastal soul.

Gift your girls something that feels touched by the sea: linen wraps, shell-accented jewelry, handwritten notes tied with driftwood or raffia. Keep it simple, natural, and meaningful.

5. Sunset pause.

Step away for a moment during golden hour—not just for the photos, but for the memory. Whether it's with your partner or by yourself, let yourself pause, breathe, and feel the moment settle.

Where the water meets the heart… and the moment.

I’ve lived enough sunsets to know what calm feels like. And if the ocean is part of your love story—your peace, your pace—then I get it.

Whether it’s a bachelorette weekend or your wedding morning, I can help bring that feeling to life. Not just the look, but the mood. The rhythm. The stillness in between.

Because presence is everything. And, sometimes, the smallest details—the ocean-inspired bridal notes—are the ones that bring us back.
