Why Sundays are sacred

For most of my adult life, Sundays were a luxury I didn’t have.
When you work in tourism—airports, hotels, the 24/7 world of hospitality—there’s no such thing as a weekend. While everyone else was slowing down, I was checking people in and fixing travel mishaps. I was helping other people fulfill their plans.
So when I did get a Sunday off, it felt like a little miracle.

When I left that world, I made myself a promise: I would never take Sundays for granted again.
Now, Sundays are sacred.
They begin early—because I’m a morning person through and through. I make my coffee while the house is still quiet. I meditate, I write using The Five Minute Journal and The 365 Journal, and I read something that nourishes me. I plan my week gently, without pressure—not to control the chaos, but to meet it with grace.
This isn’t about a perfect routine. It’s about presence.
That same energy lives inside Maid For You. I don’t believe in rushing through moments or packing the day so full that we forget to feel it. Whether I’m caring for a bride or guiding a maid of honor, I want to create that space for pause—for my clients, for their people, and for the moments that can’t be planned.
Because real care doesn’t only start on the wedding day.
It starts in the quiet.
It starts on a Sunday.
